Bees have survived in the wild for millennia, but changes in the environment, the use of pesticides, and an increase in viruses and parasites have made it difficult for them to survive on their own.
Fortunately for them—and consequently, us—there’s been a tremendous increase in hobbyist beekeepers throughout the world. These upstanding world citizens have taken it upon themselves to protect one of the most important elements in the functioning of our delicate ecosystem.
To help beginner beekeepers get started, we’ve dedicated our little portion of the web to providing everything you need to know to establish and maintain a beehive.
